May meeting notes:

Fire extinguisher training was done; thanks to Dan Jaquith.

For people with diabetic emergencies, we have the capabilities to do BS checks, so we know if they are high or low. A patient with high BS does not receive glucose. We are trained beyond the basic EMT skills in the EMT-B text book.

We are to let student observers "observe". They are NOT to do any invasive patient care I.E.-injections, finger sticks etc.

The Memorial day Schedule is filling in nicely. There are a couple of volunteers opportunities open.

We did well on the Chicken BBQ. Think of what we can do? Perhaps a Pizza party at the June meeting? Please let us know, so it can be arranged.

A wonderful pharmacology presentation was presented by Chris Arendt,Doctor of Pharmcy candidate at Mayo.

The training in June will be a thorough review of protocols and skills with the variance drugs we carry.

Fountain Trail Days Parade needs someone to bring the Cty Float. Larry is taking the Ambulance.
